Reiki
The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to increase general well-being, maintain good health, and activate the body’s own ability to heal itself.
The Japanese word REIKI means “Universal Life Energy”, the all-pervasive cosmic energy.
This energy, which has been used since ancient times by shamans and medicine men, was accessible to ordinary citizens of those times only through intensive training.
Although everyone has a Reiki channel from birth and is thus connected to this “universal life energy”, we usually lose the ability to receive Reiki as we become an adult. The channel becomes increasingly clogged.
At the beginning of the last century, Dr. Usui of Japan discovered an initiation method through which the ability to channel Reiki can be passed on to others, without years of training.
Many people were quite eager to spread Reiki throughout the world within a short period of time. The fact that Reiki is much more than a healing energy, has been kept quiet, knowingly or unknowingly.
REIKI is “creative energy” in its purest form, and there are many people for whom the time is ripe to use Reiki in this way.
How does Reiki work?
The power of Reiki produces five main effects:
- relaxation
- release of energy blockages
- detoxification
- it infuses us with healing life energy
- it raises our vibrational frequency
As a result of the work of engaged members from the ProReiki Professional Association, which was founded on July 4th, 2011, a few health insurance companies have agreed to assume the costs for Reiki treatments up to a certain annual limit. Others will follow suit.
As a Reiki Master I am qualified to perform attunements in Reiki levels 1to 3 (Usui Reiki), so that the initiate is then able to give themselves and others (people, animals, plants) Reiki treatments.
